Being somewhere new is great, but the actual act of moving an entire house over a thousand miles definitely sucked. I'm pretty much expecting to die in this new house.

Are you in the middle of moving right now? How long does something like that take? My parents moved from Italy all the way to Belgium, but I was too young to notice how much energy and time it asked.

We've been in the new house about 3 weeks. Most of the boxes are unpacked but there are still a bunch more that will still need to be gone through.

My goal is to live life so that I can pack my shit in 3 to 5 midsized boxes tops. I have yet to give it a reality check but I think I'm willing to throw away stuff just so I can have the luxury of 3-5 boxes that even a sedan can transfer.

Great goal. I'm downsizing as we speak. Recycling and giving away. Great feeling!

it's a hard thing to do with furniture unless you just keep buying new stuff but that gets expensive.
