what militant straight edge is cause ive seen it mentioned quite alot but i cant find out what it is...

Its pretty self explanatory, people who are militant about straightedge beliefs. Using force to put their beliefs forward and holding no respect for anyone who doesn't adhere to their beliefs and live in accordance to different beliefs. Often noticed most for focusing their anger or contempt at completely the wrong people and achieving nothing worthwhile with their aggressiveness. Whilst straightedge is a personal belief that doesn't hold much room for compromise the idea of enforcing it millitantly is a ridiculous idea and that is the short answer to your question; "can someone explain to me what militant straight edge is?" - ridiculous.
