Guys, just a little heads up for all the real hardcore bands that will be playing accross the UK in the next few months. You should all try to get out to support these bands:

Alligence
Go it alone
set your goals
Panic
Guns up
the suicide file
plus loads of uk bands doing stuff around the country.

also, if you are interested.
Bonesbrigade
ignite
with honor

Hopefully this will make less mention of everytime i die and himsa.

the mention of these bands doesn;t necesarily mean we wouldn't be attending any of the shows you mentioned! I am going to see ETID becuase I have liked them for a very long time and I think it should be a good show! I am wanting to go see With Honor very much, Death Before Dishonor are also touring the UK soon but aint coming to Scotland so I can't go see them!

chances are the bands you mentioned there only a few of them will come to Scotland???

I did see Baysix and Brutallity Will Prevail few weeks back cos my band played with them. Dunno if you have heard of either though

then why mention metal bands in a hardcore section when theres hardcore to be discussed?

then why did you mention them?
i think the new record is good anyway. i like it more than heart means everything.

Because it was a suggestion for others duh! I also put them seperate to the bands i'm going to see myself.

I don't like the new record and don't think its very good.

yeah i know, but that's why i asked. it felt something like:
"i suggest you check out this band, however they suck."

If you know why did you ask?

I can't like every hardcore band, the sentiment that is being made by my post is that hardcore shows is what should be talked about not himsa or every time i die. I suggested with honor seperately as i personally don't think they are that good any more and it was a seperate suggestion because it wasn't a suggestion made on my tastes.

As the other person said how they were looking forward to seeing them i just conversed my personal opinion of the band, much like you did to me in your post. I mean if you like them and other people like them then of course i'm going to mention them playing, its just common sense. And i'd rather see people talking about with honor in here than bands like himsa.

Is there a link you could give me?

best thing you can do is get in touch with the people who are putting the shows on in scotland that way you will know what is going on.

From other shows mainly, bands let you know whats going on, flyers get given out etc.

its just a case of getting involved in the scene really. I don't know where you live but you can try bands websites for dates, most places have some kind of local scene website or forum where shows are discussed or promoted. Once you track down a hardcore show or local kids that go to shows the rest isn't to hard.

if your local boards are anything like the ones here then they're the worst places on earth for someone just getting into things to go to.

if myspace is good for something it's getting news from bands. they usually post heads up when something new happens.

Is that on the Southcoast?
My geography sucks. I live in Pompey/Southampton area there are some ok local bands but they don't tend to play all ages venues.
