and some opinions are more informed than others. there are some bands that have generic music and generic boring lyrics. hatebreed is one of those bands.

I enjoy Hatebreed. Esecially their older stuff, like perserverance. Rise of brutality was repetitive and it was nowhere near the calibre of their older music. I hope supremacy is better.

I'd agree on this one, lyrics are somewhat boring. Particularly in the song Destroy Everything. Sounds stupid.

"Simple" and "generic and boring" are not the same thing. To write about something integral or of plentiful substance in a simple manner whilst still constructing the intended message is actually a really attractive skill that makes the message carried within hardcore songs accesable. But there are also a lot of bands that mistake this for a platform in which they just rehash at best a rather dull and boring message, at worst there really often isn't a message at all and the words just float along ticking boxes in a generic checklist.

I don't think so. point I made was that simple is different from boring,you can ignore the point I made if you like but just because you know where you are with straight up hardcore doesn't mean it can't be fresh and inovative whilst remaining simple and within the confines of what you accept andx expect hardcore to be.

this is more a reflection of the bands you've listed as liking more than a reflection of hardcore as a whole. most nyhc bands this is true of where you have bands churning out records that are just more and more of the same.

but hxc aint progresive like some band can get a way with being that. if i like it i like i like i try not to pick hole in it .

It's progressive within itself, stuff from bands today don't sound exactly like SSD or Bad Brains or Black Flag.
