I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have casual sex. I go to every local show, however none of the bands here are considered Straight Edge bands. I do listen to hardcore music. However, my favorite bands aren't hardcore bands or straight edge bands. (Less Than Jake, I AM THE AVALANCHE)

Call me stupid, but would I be considered Straight Edge? Or just another drug free kid?

I'm really just trying to learn as much about the Straight Edge lifestyle as I can before I declare myself to be sxe.

you're drug free, which is awesome. I'd listen to as many edge bands as I could find and then decide if it's something I'd want to be a part of and affiliated with.

nah thats ace. I mean, being sxe to me isn't listening to sxe bands, and its no fashion, its my preference, the music is what im into. I think I'm thinking along the same lines as most. Like what you like. Being of sound mind and body is the best way to be, and that what counts!

yeah but the music is what sets straight edge apart from every other group that doesn't smoke, drink or do drugs.

Thats true. The music is amazing, unlike whatever band is on the television at the moment, awful.
