Hey,

This is just an idea I had, if enough people reply with there opinions on this then I can maybe speak to Dusty about implementing it. (Hope you don't mind Dusty).

Do all you people think a section on the forum that is dedicated to sales and wants. For example you could make a post with links to all of your ebay auctions. You could make a request post and ask if anyone is selling an item you are looking for. This could be used for the likes of selling shirts, records, CD's, DVD's, book's or anything else you want to sell privately through the boards or by linking to ebay, same goes for requests.

Who thinks they would like to use/see this sort of thing?

I dunno Dusty might say NO, but I thought I would make a post to see what everyone thinks, so please post say what you think.

Yeah I like this idea. Although I will never collect vinyl I may be interested in other stuff. I have a random Sportswear 7", wonder if that is worth shit haha.

If this happens we should only allow you to make a certain number of purchases though Dean, to save you having to sell off your kidney in the near future.

Dini it would be a whole separate section people wouldn't need to read it if they didn't want too, and if we kept it so only members were posting there, none of those bots or guys from labels who just register to advertise there releases should be allowed to post.

Yeah but say 4 people post up requests or sales, the General section might end up getting filled with the stuff which would piss people off. Maybe even having this type of section would bring more people to the boards aswell?

But if people aren't going to use the section then I guess it would be pretty pointless and it would end up not being used an awful lot.

This is a good idea, as the board is not massive (not literally, I mean the amount of active members) and not everyone has stuff to sell/trade

Yeah, the boards used to be a lot more active than they are. Thats another reason I thought about posting regarding this, maybe need something new or something to change to keep the new members coming back.

But if you had actual members who post putting up what they were selling or requesting to buy stuff that would be cool right? As long as it aint people with 0 posts coming on and advertising there shit?
