I am trying to start a hardcore band, and I'm just wondering what steps I would have to take to be considered hardcore.

I really want to be labeled hardcore in your opinion, so can anyone tell me what musical properties my band has to execute in order to be hardcore?

Nice approach. Sounds like you're going to start a band for the sake of being labeled appropriately. I don't feel good about it at all.

Why is that so important to you being "labeled hxc"? One should only be concerned by the opinion he or she has about himself or herself. As far as I can judge your behaviour, you don't seem to love yourself much and that's a sad thing. Think about it...

Regarding how to be hardcore, I think you should inspire yourself by listening to hcx bands that appeal you. The general atmosphere of hardcore music must come from your guts, not your head.
