ok most people get tattoos to look the part of the scene and some dont, i for one have no tattoos.
and for sum reason popele say to me oh u need sum ink or sumin makin it out have to to be edge or hardcore ect.
i just have not got round to it.
i do want sum just not right now.
im made out to look small against tatooed ppl.

If you want a tattoo get a tattoo, if you don't then don't, Do it on your own terms, make sure you are sure about it first. Don't get one because everyone else has them, don't get one to be hardcore or to be edge, get one because you have thought about the idea of tattoos and are comfortable in deciding to get one. Don't feel small for not having tattoos, feel tall because you aren't just following and are making up your own mind.

this is the main reason why I'm 30 and still don't have any tattoo's.

I know alot of guys who have tattoo's that have actually no meaning or purpose behind them. Simply getting them because they look good doesn't seem like a good idea to me at all, I have 2 tattoo's, nothing major. The tattoo's I have were decided on because they have a significant meaning to me and they looked god to me at the time, now they don't so much because I need to have them completed. What I think, is that, if you are gonna get a tattoo, get something that MEANS something aswell as looking good to YOU.

Overall I regret getting any tattoo's at all, and before getting them I put months worth of consideration into them.

mmm well I kinda got a couple in a short period of time, but basically because I got alot of ideas of things I wanted to get.

So far I have:

X on each calf with outline
black cat napping on right side of chest
heart with xxx around it left side of chest
pirate ship outline at the top of my arm which is start of my sleeve :)

I don't really regret getting them but it get's annoying when people ask me "wtf do you have x's on your legs for... do you really like xmen or something". Alot of my friends think I was stupid for getting sxe stuff done but I feel it means alot to me so no regrets there.

Yeah thats the major way I look at it. I mean I have 2 tattoos but I put ALOT of thought into them before I got them. I have a wolf on my leg, but to be honest, i have wanted a wolf tattoo since I was 10 or 11, so I thought about it for almost 6 or 7 years before I actually got it. And my second tattoo is my family crest on my left forearm. That one I spent about 6 months thinking about, then my dad and I went and got matching tattoos, so it was a bonding experience with my dad, and its something that will always be important to me. I would never get a tattoo based on a spur of the moment decision or because I think something looks cool. Thats just the way I look at it.

The Turtles is probably one of the best cartoons ever made in my lifetime. Weren't the HERO Turtles better than the Ninja Turtles though, I can't remember.

Also the first film was edited, taking out all the nunchaku scenes of mikeys. Nunchakus and the word ninja was deemed to strong and violent for the BBFC, they have eased up on this now and you can freely buy the unedited version of TMNT as well as many other martial arts films that have had nunchaku scenes reinserted. There was also a lot of kids making and buying nunchaku when i was little, i made some - they were pretty crap.


I still have a bunch of turtles crap from pez dispensers to original action figures. I also have a fairly large collection of the original comics from before the cartoon made them all soft.

That is awesome. I have so many collectables, and soo many of the action figures (however as a kid i played with them so much they are all pretty much broken). I also have season one of the original cartoon on dvd. I would love to get my hands on some of the original comics.

i have one edge tattoo and one drug free tattoo and i suggest really thinking about what you want and make sure that you put it somewhere that can be covered easily. it's for you, no one else. don't get something cause it looks cool, get something because it is a conviction and really means something to you in your heart. i thought about mine for like a year before i ended up getting them

Its fine that you don't want them on your body, but i'm struggling with your reasoning. I mean if its because you aren't born with them and don't want to add things to your body then logically you would also be against clothes and cologne etc. These are unnatural additions to the body. I mean if you just said you don't want to mark your body it would make a lot more sense but the unnatural thing doesn't make sense to me. I mean behaviourally its natural and so i guess it comes down to this:

Are you tattoos and against any unnatural addition to your body?

Or

Are you just against the addition of tattoos to your body and don't really mind if things are natural or not?

I don't think so... A body which is not completely healthy may also not be healthy by birth, as it is when people are handicaped, but this does not necessarily mean, that those people are insane. Got me?

They may be external and not permanent but they aren't natural. So if the logic was to be against something because its not natural then you would be against clothes also. If its against them because they are permanent then thats fine, it makes sense.

i just got my first edge tattoo, it say stay positive around my wrist but the bottom of my wrist has 3 x's
i got stay positive because i come from a place where all my friends have fallen into drugs and i just don't want to ever have to go that far for reasons so dumb
i do get alot of shit at shows for having an edge tattoo for the same reasons that this thread is up, that some believe it is unnatural
your body is a temple but it's your temple so what ever you find intoxicating and unnatural is up to you, it's your body there are some gidelines of course as to what is unnatural and intoxicating but you should be able to tell the difference on the big stuff
i got mine because it means alot to me, but not having one is perfectly okay is probably better then having one because it is marking up your body, being edge doesn't mean you need to have a tatoo of it, i just liked it
