premarital sex is awesome and something that everyone should do. The idea of marrying someone that you're not sexually compatible with is a surefire way to make sure you're miserable.

No Premarital sex or No Promiscuous sex is usually something militant people try and enforce as a part of edge. I will admit I used to always think that it was more a self respect thing and it just meant not abusing sex. It's not hard to get confused with all the bullshit stuff like "If you're not 3x you're not straight edge."

keep in mind, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to be edge and just randomly having sex with people, make sure it counts.

Randomly have sex? Do you mean like accidently having sex without actually conciously thinking about it and it just happening as a course of action without intent? Or do you mean random as in a dice throw or the flip of a coin, so it could always be a random possible outcome based on the fact the intention is always seeking an outcome weather its heads or tails!!!?

I don't think i've grasped the idea of sex being a random occurance, i've also not grasped the idea of the supposed qualifier to it not being random. Making it count? Are we to keep score in order for it to not be random and count? What makes it count? And counts towards what? I'd like to know so i can keep count of non random sex although why i would want to keep count of non random sex also puzzles me? Is numerical data of non random sex straightedge criteria? Do the partakers of random, unaccounted for sex ommit some portion of straightedge criteria? If its random yet counted, does that make a difference? Or would that just be counted as MIA or something?

Perhaps i took it the wrong way actually, do you simply mean it only counts if you cum? Or does it only count if both (all, could be any number) parties cum?

What if you tried the pants on for the first time and you didn't like them? I'm sure anyone who enjoyed the pants enough would use them again.

well its more like casual sex, like something that just happens like a one night stand or "fuck buddies". the only way i have sex is if i know they arenot jsut gonna be "hit it and quit it", and i am in a serious realtionship with them. dont get me wrong, i love sex but its not somethign that should be abused like that.

Why should it not be abused?

Do you really feel that two consenting adults partaking in intercourse with each other without the ties of a serious relationship is abusive? I'm puzzled as to how a casual relationship alludes to abusive whilst a serious relationship doesn't, surely there is just as much risk of sex being used in an abusive manner in a long term relationship? And surely its down to the individuals involved to decided how to have sex, i mean you say it shouldn't be abused like that but i don't know how that is abusive if both parties wish to consent in that manner, i mean is there a set criteria of how you can have sex?

Well, that's your opinion. I think it's a bit exaggerated worded. But apart from that, I agree with you.

Back to the main question:
That has basically nothing to do wiht straight edge. You know, the phrase "don't fuck" you don't have to take literally. And apart from that;
who tells you, what you have to do or not to do? Well, assuming that you mustn't have premarital sex to be xyz (let's just say xyz is the name of a scene like straight edge with many rules and so on): If you want to do it anyway, you maybe have think again if xyz corresponds with your points of view and opinions, and you really want to be xyz. 'Cause it just shows weakness to do something just to be part of a group or even a subculture.
I don't wanna allege that you aren't straight, but I think it isn't needed to ask that. Do what you think is right for you.
