Yeah see, it's Gorilla Biscuits and there is gonna be a barrier and bouncers at the Glasgow show. I am just hoping there are enough kids there to get the bouncers to back the fuck off. I'll probably get thrown out.

You shouldn't get thrown out if you don't go to war with the guys who are just there doing the job they are hired to do.
I'll be purposefully giving this one a miss myself.

Won't be war at all. I will just be trying to have fun.
Here is GB in Amsterdam on the current tour, this looks amazing:

I really hope Glasgow can be half as good as this looks.

And the bouncers will be trying to do the job that your money will be paying them to do, if you respect that then you won't get thrown out. However if you are counting on large numbers of kids to make bouncers "Back the fuck off" and not do what they are employed to do then that does sound like you are opposing them, doesn't it?

I say that because I know there won't be enough people there for the bouncers to back the fuck off. I said I will probably get thrown out jokingly because there is very little chance of that happening either. I am just having a dig at how shit Glasgow shows are, sorry I don't make myself clear, I sometimes forget people only see the words I type and don't actually understand what I am meaning as they would in person.

Yeah i didn't get the joke and it just seemed like you were looking to be down on the bouncers. Is it just that one venue thats like that or all venues in Glasgow?

When I read back at what I wrote it wouldn't be possible for anyone t get the joke.
Well, I have been speaking to people on the Glasgow Hardcore boards who said there will be bouncers and a barrier but I went to ice hockey last night with a friend from work who said there is no barrier and the only bouncers they seen were on the door, I am guessing it is down to the type of show that is on whether they have the bouncers etc, will just have to wait and see.
There are a few venues in Glasgow that have the barrier and bouncers but these are the larger venues like the Cathouse and the Barrowlands. King Tuts where GB are playing is a larger venue compared to the venues that bands usually play when they come and play here, I think that was the gripe most people had with the GB UK part of the tour, all the venues they are playing are crap apparently. I guess it's because they believe there will be really big turnouts to the shows.

I don't think the venues are crap, its more that they aren't really typical hardcore venues. But then reunion shows like this aren't typical, actually they are becoming pretty much typical so who knows.

Yeah, I am just going on what other people are saying about the venues, I mean there are places in Glasgow that are worse and I have never been to the London or Leeds venues so I personally couldn't comment.
Reunions are happening quite alot. Floorpunch reunion is happening sometimes in the next month or 2 I believe. Depending on where it is and when I might be there.

Just watching, I am a proud supporter of the Fife Flyers.
I can barely skate, I hope to try and get alot better now that the ice rink is about to open up again.

They've been happening a lot for the last few years, some for good reasons some not. The floorpunch reunion seems a pretty worthwhile cause. I'll be stateside from October 20th and if its feasible I may go show my support for Robby, plus i would like to see Philly which is probably where it will be.

Which team do you get behind in the elite and english premier leagues? I am just assuming these are the leagues that you would be referring to.
What about NHL? My team there would have to be the Maple Leafs.

NHL - Blackhawks, Thrashers. Flames
AHL - Chicago wolves, Iowa Stars, Quad City Flames (Calgary flames moved to Moline this year and replaced QC Mallards). Peoria Rivermen.
If i was to choose a UK team i would choose cardiff, overall i prefer AHL

I was making a bad joke about the only way to see the gorilla biscuits is to build a time machine, because the band on tour, while having the same people in it, aren't the gorilla biscuits.

As a torontonian its sweet to hear that you would be a fan of the leafs. I actually like the leafs, but my favourite team in the NHL has always been the Buffalo Sabres.

My Great Great Aunt lived in a place called Scarborough I think which is close to Toronto? She always used to send us postcards, trading cards and stuff of the Maple Leafs so I have always followed how they were doing and checked up on the highlights of there games ever since.
The Pengiuns are another team I like in the NHL too.

I actually live in a suburb just east of toronto called pickering. Scarborough is right beside pickering, it is actually considered a part of toronto. that is awesome.

Sweet. I would love to visit Canada, especially the area she used to live and see what it's like. She lived there all alone for a long time after her husband died, all she had was her little dog so it would be real cool to see what it was like.

So the Glasgow GB show was amazingly really good, I was really suprised actually and I had a really great time.
The set list was 2 and a half pages long, they played all the GB classic and they covered New York Crew.
During Big Mouth some guy in the crowd was being a bit of a dick and pushing girls for no reason so Civ kinda shouted at him, so this guy launches a pint of beer at the band, so Civ jumps off the stage and unleashes the fury on this guy, rest of the band except Luke jumps in there and the crowd all go in, so there is this big ruckuss going on and one security guard in there doing nothing, so Luke comes over and said to me and my friend "look dude I am so so sorry about this" and I said "what the fuck happened?" and he says "man, I dunno but I am really sorry". So the fight gets broken up, they all come back on stage and they start joking around about how exciting it was and how funny it was then Civ said "yo, sometimes you just gotta punch a motherfucker you know", it was pretty hilarious.
So yeah, lots of people singing along and having a good time. Lots of older guys there too aswell as people who were 14, 15 and stuff which is always a good thing. I got a high five from Civ and I got a page of his set list so that topped it off pretty well. Only downside was that there was a barrier and no stage dives.
Good times.
