straightedge and sex?

i have a question, how many people that are edge believe that abstaining from sex is part of straightedge? ian from minorthreat says in one of his songs, don't drink, don't smoke, don't fuck but then on straightedgelifestyle.com he says thats not the rules and that straightedge just came from substance abuse so why is it that everywhere i look everyone says that abstaining from one night stands and sex without relationships are part of straightedge?

the vast majority of people are edge, don't view sex as part of it. The culture as a whole doesn't really reflect it, since there are only a handful of songs by edge bands that even mention it. I don't really know where you're looking that says otherwise.

just alot of people that i have met always say that it's part of straightedge but i always correct them and tell them that straightedge started from substance abuse and that what i live my life by, im just sick of people trying to call me on something that i live my life by not them
