The statement, "YOU AREN'T EDGE UNLESS YOU HAVE NEVER DONE DRUGS IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE". <<< I believe this is a completely bogus statement. But I have had people where I live say this, and believe it completely. They believe that you can't be straight edge if you have done drugs or drank in your past. Just thought I'd bring this up for debate, or to see what peoples views are on this, or maybe has anybody else ever heard this before?

I said the same thing, but they basically say you can't be edge unless you were drug free your whole life. Not in the sense of commiting to being drug free, but just being drug free if that makes sense. Basically I guess they say that people don't have the option to be edge, unless they were free of drugs their whole life....stupid right?

I mean, the vast majority of edge kids will not have been drug free their entire life. It's just a totally ridiculous way of thinking.

I think most of th people that stay edge are the people who know what they are giving up personally, not just reciting the same cliche's over and over. actually nearly every kid I know that broke edge was "expirimenting". If you've 'been there, done that' you realize there is no need for it.
