Okay, so this is none of my business, but today, I was on Maroon's myspace profile, and in one picture they are supposedly drinking "Non-alcoholic beer". They are still somewhat straight edge to me. I mean is it considered straight edge to drink a non-alcoholic beer? Or are you breaking edge? Again, the band are cool dudes, they have helped me through a lot and I'm not looking down on them, I'm just concerned. Thanks.

Your post raises a few questions for me:
Firstly, you say they are still straightedge to you and then ask if it breaks edge? If someone were to reply "yes it breaks edge" would you still consider them straightedge?
Secondly, you say you are concerned...what exactly concerns you about this? Is it because you are unsure if you should still like them and think they are cool depending on if low alcohol beer is considered edge break or not? Or is it concern over something else?

If someone said yes, then I wouldn't consider them straight edge. But they are still a good band. I am concerned that they will actually become full fledged drinkers.

So even though you still think they are straightedge to you if someone here says they aren't you would then no longer consider them edge? Don't you think you might be putting to much weight in what other people think and say and not enough into arriving at a conclusion based on your own thoughts on the matter? I mean sure ask other peoples opinions but you shouldn't let that be conclusive regardless of your own thoughts.
But they are still a good band. I am concerned that they will actually become full fledged drinkers.
Are you like close friends with the people in this band or something?

Okay, So, I should consider them straight edge, even if someone says on this website that they broke edge? And no, I am not friends with them, I just like their music.

should you?
non alcoholic beer still contains alcohol dude. and why would anyone even like to drink non alcoholic beer? (edge or not. I've had two kinds before I became sxe, it felt nothing like beer, and tasted fucking gross)

I kind of figured they weren't because their sound changed a little bit. They used to sound good, and have like a lot of solos, but now their music is more toned down a bit.

You should consider them straight edge if they are straight edge, if someone says they aren't then you should ask why they say that and see if you agree. The main point i am getting at here is what do you think? Do you think the low alcohol beer means they are not edge? I could easily give you my opinion on the matter and you could then let that make up your mind but i think its important to examine your thoughts and what you think makes someone straightedge.

Forgive me, are you saying here that you now do not consider them edge? Is that due to the sound change or the low alcohol beer?
