I'm singing in a hardcore band . I used to shout my self out to the max ( the volume was high , and i really liked the process of shouting it out loud.. those we're good times ) . Now the place where we rehursed is taked down , and we group up to play every friday . So , i needed to practice more . And i couldent , becouse of the high volume ( that would be desturbing the peace ) . So i started shouting in a low volume ( about the volume of someone singing.. ) . But, the problem is : now i sound like sh!t ! I don't really know why but it sounds horrible , no matter how mutch i try . And i don't get the same plessure from core as i used to . Could you advise me something for low volume , or should i shout loud ( but only once 1 week ) .
Thank you in advance ( please ignore the grammer flaws ) .

i think you should go with screaming loud then, and find another practice place.
and in the meantime, read this

can't really be done. like you can't really sing opera at a low volume since a lot of how you achieve the sound is based on the volume.
unless you want to try and do it without a mic, and then you won't be able to hear yourself.

Well , that's true . But i managed to break something in my voice , while i was practicing . So now , i pretty mutch sound LIKE i would be screaming . It's not that good , but pretty decent . I did sound like im screaming metal , but it passed . Well , i think that in the long run i will win of this . Becouse i will have all the practice time in the world ( and i won't have to change the mic volume after other bands , becouse all the other guys that play in our club are metalheads ( HXC isn't popular in Latvia ) .
I really think i would be better of screaming my lungs out ( and it would be more plessurable ) . But i traded that for more practice time and voice endurance .
Thanks guys ! It would help a lot , but i guess im pretty stubborn .
