Considering Obama received 96% of the african american vote, I would bet my life that race did play a part.

Of course it does which is why its a significant landmark. Race is still a huge issue, i certainly do hope that this election will help make ground toward making it less of an issue but its early days yet.

i think the best man won and im not saying that because im half black i kinda supported mccain to.
