UPRISE is a four piece from Simferopol, Ukraine.

The guys used to play (shitty imo... singer shares my opinion too actually xD) punk. It used to be called VIRGINS. And finally straight edge kind of exploded in our city. Kids figured it out and number of straight edge people uncontrollably started to grow. I remember times when people used to say to me: I know *one more* straight edge guy in a city besides you. But anyway I digress...

UPRISE is my friends' straight edge hardcore punk band. They sing in Russian. This is a demo recording. The first one.

I strongly recommend that you CHECK IT OUT RIGHT NOW!
There is a couple of very good, passionate songs. I love tracks 1, 2 and 5 most. But all are good. Again, understanding what lyrics mean is crucial so if you don't understand Russian I guess you won't be able to fully appreciate the music.

Anyway, I urge you to give it a try.

I'm not mega into it. I think they need to find out what they want to do with the band as the songs are too long with too much in them. The 2 songs are OK, but the quality of the recordings doesn't do them any justice at all.
