I hate when a bolt snaps off and you're stuck with no way to remove it. I was trying to pull a steering wheel off a car at the salvage yard and one of the bolts for the steering wheel snapped off in the steering wheel. The hell with it. The plastic outer piece broke off to begin with when it should have popped off but I was just going to super glue it back until the bolt snapped off. I guess that steering wheel wasn't meant for me. But still... very aggravating!

I hate that it is my last month in this awful apartment building and they serve me with an early eviction notice notice if I don't pay my rent this month. Considering this is the last month of my lease, I paid my rent a year ago. I even told my super in April that I would not be renewing my lease, but apparently he forgot so now I have to call the head office of the stupid management company to tell them that I don't owe them anything and I am leaving at the end of the month.
I also hate that there is not a single day in the 5 day weather forcast for this week that is going to be any cooler than 30 degrees (celsius). Living in an unairconditioned apartment is not fun right now.

what does your lease say? and did you give notice verbally or in writing?
Oh I am fucked. The one sentence in the second last clause on the 7th page of my lease says they need 60 days written notice. My anger comes from the fact I have never lived in an apartment building before so I didnt know that, and instead of the super telling me that when I gave him verbal notice, he just said "thats fine" instead of telling me to take the 2 mins it would have required to write something up. Head office said that if I got him to to call them and inform them that I told him then it would be fine, but we are on our 4th super of the year, so it isn't even the same guy.
And it is even more annoying because on the front page of the lease it clearly states that "the tenant will occupy the premises from August 1st, 2010 to july 31, 2011" but apparently the one sentence in the end of the lease overrides that. It is just annoying.
So it is enitrely my fault for not knowing it had to be written, but I just feel like I was taken advantage it by a dumbass super. But since I didn't pay july rent, (because I thought it was covered by my last month) the notice I got said that I can move out by the 26th. So i will probably just do that because I am actually unable to come up with 2 more months rent. It will show up on my rental record as an eviction, but it is really my only option.

The written notice should only be necessary for terminating early. If the lease is for a set amount of time and the lease isn't set to automatically renew, then you shouldn't have to tell them you're going to continue. If you prepaid for 12 months, why are they having to pay more?

That was exactly my thinking, but I have spent all day looking at the landlord/tenant act in Ontario and apparently even if it is a fixed term lease they still require 60 days written notice. When the lease expires July 31st, my lease doesn't automatically renew but it becomes a month by month lease in which I need to give 60 days notice to terminate. It is ridiculous.

yeah it is understandable, but I just wish that when I thought I was giving my landlord 90 days notice he could have just said "I need something in writing" and this whole thing would have been avoided. I should have just lied and said I did give it in writing and they lost it, haha.

I hate that my central ac has quit again today, in a different way. I paid $223 last month to have it serviced (freon put in, outside unit cleaned) and tonight I came home to find the outside unit not working. I pressed in the reset button on the side of it, it came on but the fan is barely moving so I killed the power to it.
Thank goodness I have a 10k btu window ac from when I used to rent a house with no shade and only 1 half working window ac, so I won't be suffering too much... except when i go to the other 2/3 of the house i have sectioned off from the window ac. but 1/3 i usually keep closed off anyway. But the small bathroom, my bedroom and kitchen i keep cool usually. Well, now they aren't.

I hate hospitals, cancer and bronchitis. A few weeks ago my grandpa went in for surgery to remove a tumour from his breast. Today he was rushed to the hospital because he collapsed and had no idea where he was or what his name even was. I just got home after 12 hours in the hospital with him. Luckily it turns out this was unrelated to the cancer or the surgery and he has bronchitis and was sent home (at 4 in the morning) and just needs to take some anti-biotics.

I hate watching the Maury show sometimes. I mean I like the show, but the segments about moms bringing in their effed up little brat daughters drives me nuts! The moms sit there and cry while their daughters act like wild skanky animals on national tv. You know what would have happened if our generation treated our moms like that? Mom would have knocked the crap out of us. My mom is a great lady and has never abused me. As a kid I rarely even got a spanking. But I know a million times better than to behave like one of these kids, because unlike these lost moms on tv, my mama knew how to make repercussions to the things I did.
Also, I hate when I'm at the store and people have their kids running wild and don't do anything to get track of them. Not even telling them to stay by the cart. I'm not kidding, in my town when kids run around the store, they are into everything, in everyone's way and their mom just stands there with a dumb zombie look on her face. What ever happened to the times when moms or dads said, "stay by the cart" and they kept the kiddos to it?
CarlaRant
11-14-2011, 05:03 PM
True that! There was a time when my sister started to have a temper tantrum and my mom picked her up and we left the store. She just left the half full cart in the aisle instead of letting my sister distrupt everyone.
JamieLynneLotus
11-14-2011, 07:03 PM
My daughter freaks the flip out sometimes if I don't just pick her up out of the cart and hold her. She's almost 2 but she will scream as loud as she can and cry and I just take her out and carry her. I don't like to spoil her, but it bugs me when people let their kids go nuts. Crying babies are one thing, but when you see a kid on the floor screaming, and the mom saying, "Sweetie if you stop I will buy you a toy." It's like really, rewards for being a turd? That would have lasted 2 seconds with my dad. His way was always, "Okay, you be good in the store and you won't get an ass whoopin."

Same over here. Everytime I leave my room in Antwerp I think I didn't lock the door. In the best case I'm standing in front of the building, in the worst case I'm already in my hometown.

that's exactly what happens to me, except with less Antwerp and more Santiago.
once when i was at dusty's i came late from a show with easy and i had to lock the door, i had to come back twice to be sure i didnt leave it open

thats what happens with me with less santiago and more manila... i always say to myself 'am i 100% sure that i locked the door?' and i usually am not and then of course i did lock it, it would be different if i didn't have kids, i would not care as much

Went again today. She says it's viral, so I'm taking over the counter stuff and using a neti pot. I haven't had a fever since 8am, which is good.
Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight and not toss and turn while I burn up and freeze.

I hate that I failed a computer test at a job interview because I didn't know how to import data from Excel to SPSS. I know how to use Excel, and I am pretty fluent in SPSS, but I had never used the two programs together before. I hate even more that I found out later that all I had to do was copy and paste the data. Apparently I overthink things....

I hate that I need to get my top 2 wisdom teeth out. But one has been bad for 2-3 years.. about 1/2 gone (above the gum line) from breaking apart. The other has a big gaping hole that formed a few days ago. But no pain involved magically somehow. They aren't impacted at least. A friend of mine says all 4 of his are impacted (growing in sideways) which is going to be a major pain (literally) for him. At least mine are growth in straight and normal... just rotten and need pulling. I only have one bottom one.. the other never formed. The dentist suggested I consider it being pulled too.. but two is going to be bad enough so I said no.
But I have such bad anxiety, I am going to have IV sedation, you're awake and responsive but it causes amnesia during the time you're being worked on. So it's like you get the iv... and then suddenly you're all done, usually at home or on the way home.
I tried to get that worse one pulled a year ago but I about felt like I was going to have a heart attack when I just saw the numbing gel on the dentist's finger coming at me. I had to call it off. That is WITH nitrous oxide. That stuff does NOTHING for me.
I paid $85 today for a quick evaluation and a panoramic xray. The removal & sedation is going to be $390 out of pocket (a small portion my dental insurance is going to pay on top of that, I'm going to an out of network dentist) which is actually LESS than I expected by about $300-$400.. so that's good at least.
i hate the itchiness after my sunburn that is currently driving me insane

last week i got really sick, probably from eating something in bad shape (i think it's a lettuce, but i cant see how something that good could do me so bad). i had a fever, body ache and all that.
now, a week later, i had to come back from the way to the gym cause of stomach ache. it sucks!

Well yeah, at the end of the day it's completly her decision and I have no choice but to respect it. But it seems to just be a constant argument that comes up out of no where when things are going great, I'll mention how I hate alcohol in any form and then she'll argue back. I don't know, maybe I should move on but it would be difficult.

Most would sooner arrive at the conclusion that it is funny to watch you react this way, you do a great job of adding an entertainment factor around here...not sure just how intentional it is though. But over the years there is way more evidence of your lack of sanity on here however it has all been very entertaining. It is great that your response to people finding things funny that you are unable to find funny immediately makes them mad in your eyes, such a wonderful tell tale response of your character and confirming so much...which again makes it all so much funnier. So, please, continue to play your role and provide us all with this comic releif, thanks.
