I love amazon.

Seriously i have no idea why i would go to a book store with a lame selection and worse still...other people! When i can get the actual book i want much cheaper, delivered free and not have to go into town.

The cheapness really gets me though, just from grocery shopping and from using my amazon credit card i save myself so much money. This morning i sat down to order a book with the retail price of £33.99. Thats what i would if the store in town actually stocked my book. Amazon are selling it for £19.27, i get a small discount for being a student so its £18.31 and using a voucher that i got from my amazon credit card the final price was £8.31. A total saving of £25.68...so yeah, i love amazon!

I love when meetings go well. Today I received an email from my thesis supervisor asking to meet. He never asks me to me to meet him so I thought it was kind of weird and I expected that it was going to be something bad. But the meeting was just so he could explain to me that he likes the rough draft of my paper and we had a brief discussion about what I should be working on next.

how much more work/longer do you have?

I have written 60 of 80 pages, I am hoping to finish it up by the end of next week. Then I will be spending the month meeting with supervisors and just editing the crap out of it and then I will be defending it (hopefully) by the end of August.

I love the fact that after almost 5 months of work I have finished my first full draft of my thesis. 81 pages, 23 000 words. Now comes the hard part where I have to listen to my supervisors dissect my baby and tell me what I need to fix to get it ready for a defence at the end of the month.

One of my favorites: I love waking up in a warm bed, not stiff or with any gut pain yet, to the sound of coffee brewing on a rainy day. When I open my eyes, the room has that rainy day darkness" to it, meaning the sun hasn't blasted into my eyes. And the rain is pattering on the roof and windows. This hasn't happened in a while. I miss it.

Well I had been having trouble hearing off and on for a long time now because of excessive ear wax that apparently i shoved down in my ear too deep. When i shower and water goes in my ear immediately after i would go deaf in that ear for awhile... then this weekend i went to the beach and after swimming i couldnt hear shit! So i tried to clean out my ear with ear buds to see if that would help and dark orange brownish earwax was coming out... bud after bud after bud! but i still could not hear... so i decided its been long enough of this problem so i went to the ENT clinic... so the dude first put in some liquid that loosens it up i guess but he still had to stick these scary ass metal instruments way back into my ear and to be honest it scared me shitless, i dont know this dude and he had a spike way too close to my brain! but anyway he dug it loose and as it was happening there was a lot of pressure that was pretty uncomfortable... then he flushed all the shit out with this thin tube and a big syringe of liquid/water sticking that way into my ear... it felt super weird BUT the pressure released and I could hear... I felt a bit dizzy afterwards and i looked into the little bowl he used to catch the stuff and it was fucking gross... there was a big old ball of dark orange/brown stuff and chunks floating in the water... but now i can hear perfectly and i am pretty psyched about that!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR ASKING!!!

I had the same problem4 or 5 years ago. Maybe not that extreme but still. I went deaf after sleeping because I always sleep on my side. It was fucking horrible. A week or so I walked around with the problem, until the other ear went deaf too.
I just went to the doctor and he put this big syringe that's filled with water in my ear. The excessive ear wax came out. It was like a little stone or something. But he didn't do anything with liquid for loosening or big metal spikes in my ear! I had this problem for two year I guess, went to the doctor 6 times to fix it. And yeah, every time I was a bit dizzy because of all the 'new' sounds and noises I could hear again.
I don't have this problem anymore luckily, I don't listen to my mp3 player anymore and when I do, I use headphones and not those little plugs. Also, I clean my ears once a week now.

Oh yeah easy, this guy you're talking about, he was a doctor right?

I've so had this done before, and I loved it. I am such a gross person.
You're in the wrong line of work darling. My best friend from my hometown is like that too. She's going to school to be a nurse and helped stitch up some guy after surgery and could stomach a bowl of chili afterwards.

Ah that sounds awesome! Here we go for 25 dollars, I think. But we get a lot of money back from the health service.

Yeah, I was more being facetious than anything else. But whether or not I pay through the ass in taxes, it is still pretty cool to never get a bill for going to the doctor or the hospital.

I am okay with that! I am more comfortable contributing taxes to the health care system than I would be having to pay an insurance company for coverage. I am what the Republicans would call a socialist and/or communist!

Its great until you are paying to support something that doesn't live up to your expectations but you are required to contribute regardless. I am comfortable with contributing but i would probably be just as comfortable paying a private insurance company, maybe i wouldn't be considered a communist?!

Girl, I don't know. I'm from Indiana and when I go back home, I feel as though I'm the only one. Everyone has either moved or changed lifestyles. I met a sxe guy this summer while visiting and I had to compose myself so that I didn't look like I was hitting on him. I was just so excited to see another edge person!

I can agree with this post, I too love this site and need to start coming here more often. Especially now that it seems traffic is increasing :). Minus the "wo" and replace "ohio" with "NJ shore" I too think the same of your second sentence. Everyone I know here in NJ who used to claim edge no longer does, and when I see people from highschool (I've been out 7 years) they always ask, "Are you really STILL sXe?!" heh.

Trying new things. I have a couple of books on order which I hope will help me understand less fitted clothing (my English genes seem to make me think exclusively in terms of tailored and structured when drafting clothing patterns) so super excited about trying something different and working with some slinky fabrics.
