Has anyone read Dr. McDougall's books on health and diet? I recentally picked up The McDougall Program for Maximum Weight Loss. It's pretty hardcore; a vegan diet without soy, oils, and nuts. So that leaves fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, and beans. I'm finding it difficult to cook without oil, but otherwise it's certainly feasible.
