other people got it, you just didn't, so how didn't it make sense, since doll and girl are synonyms. the joke wasn't "what kind of indian food does david bowie sing about"

dude, my first impression was that it WAS about China Doll and i didn't get it because it was China GIRL. so in that sense, i got it the first time.
that's what made it a shitty joke. so i was right all along man. suck it up, this joke blows, and it's not even funny anyway

all comes back to you dude, you're the one making a way bigger deal out of this than anyone else. It's ok that you didn't get it. It's ok that you haven't come up with a joke. And I did get it the first time, even though i thought i didn't. (re-read my first comment) the joke's quality was what made me think i'm missing something, because it was just not making any sense with 'doll' other than i already thought of.
