This is something I asked my students today and it started a great conversation.
I'll start...
I am thankful for my husband, health, job, friends, and new nephew. I am fortunate enough to be working in a professional field I love and be surrounded by supportive people. I will be spending the day, sadly, not with my family. However, one of our friends is a former vegan chef and he has invited us to spend the meal with him and his partner. :) I'm so spoiled.

I am thankful for the few, truly great and true friends that I have, that make how I feel sometimes completely relatable and not freakish. I am thankful to have a job right now in the state of the economy, no matter how much I hate it at times. I am thankful that I have not let the bad outweigh the good and that I am still alive.
I am making the big bucks tomorrow and working til 3 in the afternoon, and then driving to have leftovers at my mom and dad's. Friday people are trying to convince me to go out at 4am to wait in line for stuff that I don't want, but it's not going to happen.

right now that I hosted thanksgiving, cooked 3/4 of the meal and am now completely done and can enjoy the next 3 days without working.
I'm also thankful for my wife and family on both sides of the atlantic.
I'm glad I have a job where I make a difference in the world and help make the world a safer place.

I'm thankful i married a man who's an awesome cook, that having every one over gave me a reason to finally clear up the dining room, and that in a few weeks I'll be flying back to England to see my family over there again.

I'm glad I can study.
I'm thankful for that i found straight edge and hardcore in my life i don't know where i would be without it. I am also thankful for my family and friends without them i don't think i'd be where i am today. I'm also thankful for my health and that there isn't anything seriously wrong with it.
