Yep, there are parades around and tonight there are going to be fireworks everywhere. I am off to my grandparent's place for a big family bbq.

I did! And because if already falls on my regular off day, i get an extra 8 hours pay this week because I get paid for my 5 regular shifts, AND the 8 hours holiday pay.

I have a degree, and I am starting another one in September, but right now I am working and saving money.
